Snake River Fishing  (United States)
Anyone done much fishing on the Snake River, especially north of Mora?     It seems like the river would be good for smallies, but I'm looking for some first-hand reports.  I'm thinking of doing some float tube fly fishing up there in July.

Re: Snake River Fishing  (United States)
just so happens that i fish that river 4-7 times a year for smallies, the only place i fish for smallies actually, but i fish a'little closer to pine city. About a mile or two down from the lake the snake river was formed from. I mainly use rapalas and spincast rods but if they hit floater rapalas then im sure they would hit a "floating fly." ~ good luck.

Re: Snake River Fishing  (United States)
I fished there a few times last year, just before it runs into the St. Croix. Caught some nice sized bass as well as some walleyes! Haven't made it out there yet this year, but I hear the water is high.
