trout not steelhead  (United States)

im heading up tomorrow(sunday) for a couple of days of fishing and was wondering if you guys could chine some light on the north shore trout fishing. I've yet to fish it cause i cant seem to stay away from the SE area. The north shore patterns should be pretty close to SE patterns, correct? I will be heading up hwy 61 so i can find the streams easier and for the scenery, but is the trout fishing good from the mouth up or do i need to start somewhere in the middle of a stream or river?

any help would be great and much appreciated!!

Daniel

Re: trout not steelhead  (United States)
with the high gradient and freestone rivers up there i'd expect to see more stoneflies than we see in se. check in at the flyshop in duluth for some killer patterns.
