I own both of these books and both have very good information.  They are a good reference point to start looking for a stream or lake that you might want to try.

I especially like Humphrey book (1st edition).  It gives you just enough information to make you want to try a particular river.  When you get there, it's up to you to figure out how to catch the trout.
