Does that mean you've never fished in the Driftless?  The Driftless is an area taking up parts of Northeast Iowa, Western and Southwest Wisconsin, and of course, South East Minnesota.  It was missed by the last great glaciation so it contains less glacial debris or "drift", thus the  name.  Iowa has some terrific and underrated streams, and unlike Minnesota and Wisconsin dosen't have a closed season.  Check out Iowas DNR for some stream reports. Bloody Run creek and Bee creek are a couple of standouts.

On the news in Kansas City last night was a story about Iowa is to be recieving trout from Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Just in case you are interested, here's one of the links:

Google "Iowa Trout", under the news section and find more links if interested. Anyway, just passing it along!
