Great weekend for opener 2006! Me and a buddy fished S.E. on Sunday and Monday with good results. It was perfect overcast conditions with temps in the mid thirties both days! We caught 10 - 12 nice bows from 12" to 16" which were bigger than last year using bh style nymphs size #18 and smaller. I did manage to catch one brown on Monday on BWO, saw many good rises and the midge hatch was the largest I have ever seen in the winter. Ran into at least 10 - 15 other anglers which is more than the last few years but attribute that to the high temps. Water temp was 42 degrees in each stream we checked. Looking forward to upcoming weekend!
