Little Cannon River
 (United States)

I was a little disappointed in this muddy little stream. I traveled to a bridge on the far southern end of the stream. An asian couple had 1- 10" rainbow and about 30 little shiners in a bucket. The river is loaded with bait fish, for some reason. I initially had a small nymph on, but switched to a Wooly Bugger, because of all the @#%#$ shiners. I did find a hole where a few 12" rainbows were present. Due to poor line management, I lost them. Overall, I probally wouldnt recommend this river. I will update photos next week.

Re: Little Cannon River

I've had similar experiences on the Little Cannon. I was talking with my neighbor the other night and he has spent a couple days on it with spinning gear and not had any luck. Last summer I spent a full day fishing it and saw several trout rising but none would take. I'd have to agree that it's not worth your time.
