carp on a fly  (United States)
I live on lake Pulaski in wright county and was wondering what flies to use to catch carp in this area? There is alot of suckers and plenty of big carp spawning in this one area on the lake. Now I usually bowfish all my rough fish but i was wondering about flyfishing for them and what to use that would really nail them.I have an 8 weight for doing this but I need to know what to use to get them in?

Re: carp on a fly  (United States)

A killer fly for if they are feeding is just a wooly bugger, drop it softly a foot in front of them, and another good technique is to toss a black rounds dry fly in front of fish that are surfacing under bushes near shore.
