Walleye!!!  (United States)

Yesterday was a great day for walleye. A lot of fish moving into the shallows on the Mississippi. Water temp was 45 degrees and rising. I used a sinktip and size 6 black woolly buggers on a 10 ft 5 wgt. rod. The fish are 21, 19, 18, and 17 inches long. Also, my friend who is new to fly fishing and has only fished for trout on the fly, caught his first walleye. He loves it!

Ahhh, I love it!  Walleyes on the fly!  Great work there MnFishHunter. How is the pike on the fly during this time of the year?

Soon, very soon!!! Man , I can't wait. I have been catching lots of largemouth in the shallows in a few local lakes. Next should be the crappies.

Low water this year, will be interesting. As always the water temp. dictates all.

Man, gotta love that.  Walleyes, pike, crappies, largemouth, etc.  that's multispecies on a fly rod.  Awesome.  Got any pics to share?  I thought the walleye pic was great.  Great walleyes for anyone, but extra special on a fly rod.  I may have to spend more time on a fly rod.
