I don't know that many that cater just to fly fishing in the midwest.  But  im sure that they are here.  The only one that I know and have seen personally is the one on the Brule River in Wisconsin.

You can check it out at this link:

I've never stayed there, but I usually stop by and chat with the folks there before heading out on the river.  And what better river to fish then the Brule!

I'm fixing up a cabin in Elba this winter - It's right behind Johny'y bar so it should be a lot of fun after getting off the water.

Anyway, I'm calling it "Once Upon A Dry Fly" - and it should be available around the end of March.  It has a full kitchen, fire place, three bedrooms, cool antiques and it will have a hottub - maybe not in March yet though.  I'll be promoting it at the Twin Cities TU Banquet and probably raffle off a night's stay for fundraiser.

That is a nice area DryFly.  Me and buddy or two take a trip down to Whitewater every spring for our annual fly fishing trip and love that area.  I get all giddy just thinking about heading there this spring and you got me thinking about it again, gee thanks   Sounds like a nice place you have and it couldn't be more in a nicer area and a cool name.  Thanks for the info.

I had just started a search for a cabin when i stumbled across your forum. I've got family coming from all over for business that has now spawned into a great fly fishing trip minus the accommodations. If you could get back w/ info on the cabin in elba that would be great or if anyone else knows of anything, any other info is great also.

the trip is planned for the last week of june.

thanks.

Hi,

Sorry it took me so long to reply.  I didn't realize there is a second page.

It is $46.00 per night per person.  It is a three bedroom house with gas fireplace, hottub, full kitchen, interior log decor - with antiques and flyfishing parables/famous quotes and poems.  Really a neat place to stay.  It is also right behind Johny's Bar and across the street from Mauers Tavern - the only restaurant in town is 100 yards a way.

Let me know if you are interested and we'll reserve the place for you - we need the downpayment in check form to reserve.

$50.00 non-refundable to reserve a night.

Thanks,

Joe
