Hello…I happen to have run across a small box of fly fishing hooks that used to belong to my girlfriend’s grandfather. They are from around the late 40’s or early 50’s and were made in Occupied Japan, then imported here to the states into Minnesota where they were inspected and sold through a company called The Minnesota Fishing Tackle Co. Box 644, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Is there anyone out there that may have some information on the store that these hooks came from? Or, even yet, is there anyone who can give me information on where they were made in Japan and what their value may be?
I’m a bass fisherman from down in Kentucky so I’m not very familiar with fly hooks, but I would love to know more about them. They are some beautiful pieces of work.
