Hello
 (United States)
Hello to all, I'm new to the forum.  I live in Austin, and love to fish the Root River and Trout Run.

Howdy devilmutt and welcome to the site!

I've fished Trout Run quite a few times and it's a great river.  I haven't fished the Root River yet and plan to in the future.  Though I've been on it doing the canoe thing.

I like to fish the bigger water below the state park, and I like the different hatches.

The best part of fishing the SE is after the walleye opener I can fish the whole day with out seeing another person.  Not that I don't like other people, just prefer the solitude while fishing.  I have spent many days on the Root without seeing others, when I want to be social I head to Trout Run.
