So what action fly rod do u use?
 (United States)

Just curious to find out what others preferences are in terms of a fly rod action.

Do you like using a slow, medium, medium-fast or fast action fly rod and why?

I understand that each has it's pros and cons for different situations, but what overall action do you prefer?

Personally I like using medium-fast action rods, especially if I have been whipping around a fast action fly rod all day long.  I do remember using mediums when I first started out in fly fishing and found it alot easier to cast and control.  But why is there a tendency to push for fast action rods, while medium and medium-fast action rods are pushed for novice fly anglers, when medium and medium-fast rods will do more of the work for you, be it advance users and novice user.  Don't know just ramblin.
