Forestville Flies??
 (United States)

I will be taking my first trip in minnesota on the root in forstville state park this coming thursday.  Any recomendations on flies to use.  I understand 16-18 size flies will work,  I hope to fish dry flies, nymphs, and emergers.  Any ideas would be great.  Thanks in advance.

Re: Forestville Flies??
 (N/A)
I've been down there around early May a few times and from reading my logs, a buddy and me caught some fish on pheasants tails and I was using a caddis larvae imitation.  We also caught a few on some elk hair caddis, but not a lot.   My logs on this river say we were fishing it as the water was coming down (almost to normal flows) after some spring rains.  All the trips were from the park area going down stream, not to sure what its like going up stream tho.

I do remember lots of people camping and seeing  few other anglers along the way.  But all in all a nice place to camp and wet a line.  Don't know how much I helped, but I hope its a little at least :)

Tight lines and don't forget to tell us how it went.
