hello MNFF members,
my name is Mike, i am a volunteer facilitator with Reel Recovery, a non-profit organization that takes men with cancer on free fly-fishing retreats - http://reelrecovery.org/ . we conduct the retreats all over the U.S. i would like to bring one of the yearly retreats to the state of Minnesota. i am requesting your input - which region of the state offers the best fly-fishing? spring, summer or fall? bass or trout? we need easily accessible water that is reasonably close to adequate lodging. are there enough men who would be willing & able to volunteer their time to help our participants have a successful venture on the water (one afternoon & one morning)? our 'fishing buddies' can be professional guides or just avid anglers who are patient with a pure novice. please visit the website to learn more.
