Me and my cousin jahunter went out on the kinnie last weekend and the fish were biting like crazy on the upper and lower. On the lower part we were throwing little white streamers and every cast we at least see a trout go after our flies. We got about 15 browns and 1 brookie. On the upper they were going after blue wing olives and we got another 7 browns on those. It seems when it started to rain the fish turned on even more and thats when we got a nice 17 incher. Is it rare to catch a brookie right below the damn on the lower part?
I too was on the Kinnie last weekend with a cousin- lots of fish. Had some luck on BWO's and Wulffs.
I loved that when I left there were six cars in the lot- all with Minnesota plates.
So if you're from Mn, you'd have to buy a Wisconsin fishing license, along with a trout stamp? How much does that usually cost?
it ran me $60 bucks for out of state w/stamp. worth it in gas alone for where i live.
