Got a chance to fish the Namekagon River again yesterday. It was a beautiful warm spring day and very nice to be out.
I did not see any visible hatches and there was very few risers. The NAM has alot of nice browns in it, but can be very picky. Everytime I go I try to experiment and try something new. But I got a chance to talk to some fly fisherman that fish it regularly and going to try some new spots. They say there are some nice hogs in the river.
The water temp was 52 degrees and didn't get any warmer during the time I was there. So the caddis and other bugs should start coming up any time soon. I did some exploring of the rocks and wood and there are alot of caddis in that river, tons of them.
Tight lines.
