Vermillion River - Farmington  (United States)

Anyone hear anything about vermillion river, or anything between eagan and farmington. I am looking to get into fly fishing and live in the south metro area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Vermillion River - Farmington  (United States)

Hello,

Sounds like we are in the same situation. I live in Eagan, IGH area and have been trying the Vermillion, Belle Creek and Hay Creek as options. I have not had much success with the Vermillion, and dont enjoy the black mud/muck. Where have you tried on the Vermillion?

Re: Vermillion River - Farmington  (United States)

I help assisted the DNR a week ago on the Vermillion north of Farmington conducting a Trout Survey and were able to capture at least 3 to 4 Browns over 12" and a few fingerling on that stretch of the river. This section of the river is relatively not too mucky.
