fishing license
 (United States)
I have just one question. Does the winter fly-fishing season that just started Jan 1 require a 2006 fishing license and 2006 trout stamp? I wanted to do some fly-fishing during the winter season but at Dick's Sporting goods they said they didn't even sell 2007 fishing licenses yet? I held of buying a 2006 license b/c I want to make sure I am purchasing the correct license. Thanks for anyones help. Greg

Re: fishing license

You need a 2006 fishing license with a trout stamp to fish the Winter season.  Minnesota fishing licenses are valid from March 1 to Feb 28, a one year period.  So if u buy a license in January it would be valid for 2 months only, Jan and Feb.  And you would still need a trout stamp.

So the answer to your first question is YES.
