Just returned from one of my favorite Boundary Waters bass lakes. Fishing was not as good as other years, but the Largemouth action was pretty good. No trophy's but lots of hits on topwater poppers and landed quite a few. Big smallies where staging off the drops and there were a few up on the beds. Should really pick up in the next few days.
